Reviews

  • Some of my better "live" moments have been had with the mad 42-ers and on this - their first live album and a double package to boot - the chaps are heard in the usual fine fettle doing lotsa their well-known stuff as well as some new toons - all of the standard you would expect and certainly get. (Rating:6 by MW) Blues & Soul 1985.

  • Those who've seen Level 42 tend to know exactly what they're getting for their cash: a smooth accomplished show full of good musicmanship, and played in a cocktail bar-like atmosphere

Well this LP captures that experience beautifully and will be one for fans to savour at leisure. For the rest of us a double album is simply too much of the same thing and it gradually dulls the brain. To retain sanity I heartily recommend you go no further than halfway through side two. You have been warned. No.1 - 1985.
